Montreal’s mayor heading to South Korea for ‘economic and cultural mission’

Montreal Mayor Soraya Martinez Ferrada is heading to South Korea for a five-day journey aimed toward strengthening financial and cultural ties.

Martinez Ferrada and about 50 different delegates will go to the cities of Seoul and Busan between March 16 and 20.

The town says in a press launch that the delegation will promote Montreal’s experience in artistic and technological fields.

It can additionally discover totally different options aimed toward enhancing citizen companies, city planning and the usage of synthetic intelligence by cities.


Martinez Ferrada says in a press release that town wants to strengthen and diversify its partnerships at a time of commerce tensions.

The journey is being organized with the Chamber of Commerce of Metropolitan Montreal and the Montreal arts council.
