Quebec provincial police say a person arrested on the Montreal-Trudeau Worldwide Airport may face fraud expenses following an incident that triggered flight delays on Wednesday afternoon.
Police initially stated two males, one in his 20s and one in his 30s, had been arrested on flights that landed in Montreal.
However on Thursday, Sgt. Laurie Avoine stated solely one in all them may face expenses at a later date.
Air Canada confirmed on Thursday that each males have been on flights operated by the airline.

“The flights landed safely and our operations have returned to regular,” the airline stated in a press release. “As it is a safety matter, we’re unable to remark additional and refer you to native authorities.”
The investigation was dealt with by Quebec provincial police, who patrol the airport. In an electronic mail, the RCMP’s Quebec department stated they weren’t concerned as “there was no nexus to nationwide safety.”
A spokesperson for Norad stated that CF-18 and F-16 fighter jets and KC-135 refuelling plane in undisclosed areas have been monitoring a state of affairs involving two industrial airplanes on Wednesday till they landed in Montreal.
Norad didn’t specify what triggered the alert.
Airport spokesman Eric Forest stated officers quickly closed a runway on the airport however operations returned to regular at round 6 p.m.
Quebec’s Crown prosecutor’s workplace stated Thursday it had no public data on the matter.
