An Air Canada regional jet travelling from Montreal struck a hearth truck on a runway whereas touchdown at New York’s LaGuardia Airport late Sunday, officers mentioned.
The pilot and copilot had been killed within the collision, which crushed the nostril of the plane, whereas 39 of the 76 passengers and crew members on board had been taken to space hospitals, some with severe accidents.
The airport was closed till 2 p.m. Monday to facilitate the investigation, which is being led by the Nationwide Transportation Security Board.
