Montreal police suspend search for 18-year-old who fell through ice into river

Montreal police say they’re suspending the seek for a younger man who fell by the ice of the des Prairies river within the metropolis’s West Island on Thursday.

Jean-Pierre Brabant says police divers in addition to officers in boats and on foot have searched the river and its banks in latest days with out finding the lacking 18-year-old.

The school pupil was strolling with a pal on the river within the l’Île-Bizard–Sainte-Geneviève borough when the ice gave manner beneath their toes.

One of many younger males was pulled from the river and brought to hospital, and police stated his life was not at risk.
