MEXICO CITY (AP) — A person with a gun opened fireplace Monday on the historic Teotihuacán pyramids, killing one Canadian vacationer and injuring six different individuals on the vacationer web site an hour north of Mexico’s capital, the Mexican authorities stated.
The shooter later died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, Mexican authorities wrote in a press release. The injured had been receiving medical consideration, authorities stated.
The native authorities stated 4 individuals had been wounded by gunshots and that two extra had been injured from falls. Amongst these injured had been Colombian, Russian and Canadian vacationers, the native authorities stated.
Mexico’s Safety Cupboard wrote in a statement on X {that a} lady of Canadian nationality misplaced her life.
Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum wrote on social media that the taking pictures can be investigated and that she was in contact with the Canadian Embassy.
