Showers, risk of thunderstorm in Montreal Thursday

Montrealers woke up a sunny morning Thursday, but the day is set to get increasingly cloudy and gusty.

Showers are expected beginning in the afternoon and lasting until midnight. Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) says there is also a risk of a thunderstorm today. Temperature-wise Thursday will see a high of 24 Celsius and a low of 19 C. Winds of up to 40 km/h are expected in the afternoon.

Clouds linger on to wrap up the work week Friday morning with a 40 per cent chance of showers before clearing by afternoon.. The daytime high will be 22 C and a low of 13 C.

The weekend will be mixed with Saturday forecast to be sunny with a high 24 C and a low 18 C. Showers return Sunday for a high of 22 C and a low of 13 C.
