Laval police asking for the public’s help to identify arson suspect

The Laval police force (SPL) is asking for the public’s help to identify a suspect in a recent car arson case.

A vehicle parked on a public street was set on fire on August 2 at approximately 6:15 a.m. at the intersection of Voltaire and De Véronne streets in the Chomedey district of Laval.

Footage from surveillance cameras shows a suspect, a young man with dark skin and dressed in black, loitering around the vehicle for several minutes. He then allegedly set it on fire before fleeing the scene.

Anyone who can help identify the suspect or who has information regarding this case is asked to contact police confidentially via the Info-Police hotline at 450-662-INFO (4636) or by dialing 911, and referencing the following case number: LVL260802-015.
