“Our pageant is a new journey for them to open up a new chapter for this young Chinese woman so, therefore, they have a vision of what they want when they connect with other girls, and they will talk to each other, to help each other and in future career to the future leaders, not just only in the community, future leaders in the society in Montreal in Canada it’s,” said Jimmy Chan, the vice-president and chair of the Miss Chinese Montreal Pageant.

Sabrina Hu, 16, was crowned the winner of Miss Chinese Montreal Pageant 2027.

“For me, being a leader means I have to lead my actions,” said Hu. “I hope to help the charities that support young children’s education, so therefore more kids are able to go to school.”

Chan said, “They always carry a positive smile, and it doesn’t matter how they come in; they’re always supporting each other. So this is a wonderful thing that I always witness. We took over three years ago. This is our third year doing it. Very successful because the way that we’re doing it, it’s not just only transparent; it’s very encouraging for all the young Chinese women to come and to connect, and also hopefully that they may find something that could support their career. And they always say that to reach other goals, it’s not just only by yourself. It’s related with everybody supporting each other to make things happen to be the leader.
