Pedestrian struck by a vehicle in Brossard

A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle in Brossard Thursday morning.

Longueuil police (SPAL) received a 911 call around 6:30 a.m. reporting the collision near the intersection Du Quartier Boulevard and Du Chardonneret Street.

The victim, a man in his 30s, was treated by emergency responders before being taken to hospital. He is said to be in stable condition.

Traffic restrictions were briefly in place on Du Quartier Boulevard while investigator analyzed the scene. As of 8:30 a.m., the restrictions were lifted and normal traffic resumed.

No criminal activity is suspected, police said. The investigation is ongoing.
