Submarine company taps former news anchor Peter Mansbridge to voice ad

OTTAWA — South Korean agency Hanwha Oceans has tapped former TV information anchor Peter Mansbridge to voice an advert because it appears to be like to safe a multi-billion-dollar procurement contract from Ottawa.

Peter Mansbridge, the previous voice of CBC’s The Nationwide, might be heard in a video posted to Hanwha’s YouTube web page final week pitching the submarines as confirmed and dependable.

Hanwha Oceans is competing with German submarine producer TKMS for a contract to produce Canada with as much as 12 new submarines.

Mansbridge, who now hosts a podcast referred to as The Bridge, says that since he left each day information virtually a decade in the past, his firm has branched out into strategic communications.

He says he works with various corporations and establishments and that he donates a “good portion” of the proceeds from his work to universities and charitable organizations throughout the nation.
