Man charged with first-degree murder in killing of Montreal convenience store owner

A 35-year-old man has been charged with first-degree homicide within the killing on Thursday of a Montreal comfort retailer proprietor.

Xavier Gellatly was formally charged right now on the Montreal courthouse within the killing of Chong Woo Kim.

Montreal police had been known as to the scene at 7:30 a.m. Thursday the place they discovered Kim unresponsive inside the shop.

Paramedics confirmed the person’s loss of life on the scene.


Police arrested Gellatly later within the day at Complexe Desjardins, a downtown workplace tower and mall just a few kilometres from the scene, after an in depth search.
