After a difficult season, Montreal’s latest hockey champions are having fun with a stroll within the park.
The Montreal Victoire are celebrating their first Skilled Girls’s Hockey League championship win with a parade downtown Saturday, capped off by speeches and music within the metropolis’s foremost leisure district.
At a park filled with hundreds of cheering followers sporting the crew’s maroon jerseys, the crew strode on stage to thank their coaches and supporters, grooving to Celine Dion and Queen whereas sipping from beer cans and the Walter Cup itself.

Group captain Marie-Philip Poulin says she’s been feeling “a lot love” from followers amid greater than every week of festivities.
A type of followers, season ticket holder Paola Lara, says she’s adopted the crew along with her niece for the reason that league kicked off in 2024, drawn to the family-friendly ambiance and spirit of acceptance and competitors.
The Victoire defeated the Ottawa Cost 4-0 on Might 20 to turn into the primary PWHL Canadian crew to win the Walter Cup.
