Teen in hospital after moped-vehicle collision, Quebec police seeking witnesses

Quebec police are asking for the public’s help in locating to witnesses to an accident early Sunday morning in which a vehicle struck a teenage boy riding a moped.

The incident occurred in Les Cedres in the Montérégie region, south of Montreal. Police said a passing motorist found the injured 15-year-old and a damaged moped on the side of Route 338 between Chemin St-Féréol and Chemin St-Dominique shortly before 1 a.m..

The boy was hospitalized in serious condition. Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to contact the Surete du Quebec’s Vaudreuil-Dorion Major Crimes investigation team.

Police are also asking anyone who saw a vehicle with damage consistent with collision with a moped to call police.
