Woman, 78, dies after being hit by street sweeper in Montreal suburb

A 78-year-old lady is lifeless after being hit by a avenue sweeper whereas crossing the road in Boucherville, Que., on Montreal’s South Shore.

Longueuil police say the collision occurred at round 11:40 a.m. on Tuesday.

They are saying the road sweeper was pushed by a contractor employed by the municipality when it hit the girl.

Police say the circumstances are below investigation however the dying seems to be unintended.


They later added that the girl had been crossing the road when she was hit.

The Metropolis of Boucherville put out a press release expressing condolences to the sufferer’s family members.
