Montreal Police (SPVM) are investigating after a dozen autos had been broken in a suspected arson assault at a used-car enterprise in a single day in Dorval.
Emergency crews had been referred to as to the enterprise on Chartier Ave., close to fifty fifth Ave. at roughly 12:30 a.m.
Upon arriving on the scene, officers discovered a fireplace in progress. They then requested help from the hearth division.
“In accordance with preliminary experiences, a number of suspects broke down the entrance door of the enterprise to set fireplace to the within of the constructing after which fled earlier than the police arrived,” defined Constable Caroline Chèvrefils, spokesperson for the SPVM.
A dozen autos that had been inside had been broken, both by fireplace or by water from the sprinklers.
