A kitchen hearth in a three-storey condominium constructing pressured a number of residents from their houses early Tuesday morning in Montreal’s St-Henri borough.
Firefighters have been referred to as round 4:25 a.m. to the six-unit constructing close to Turgeon avenue and the intersections of Sainte-Émilie avenue and Saint-Ambroise avenue.
Officers say the blaze was unintended and originated in a kitchen.
About 15 firefighters responded to the scene, whereas 10 residents have been quickly displaced. The Canadian Crimson Cross is aiding these affected.
No accidents have been reported.
