The Sûreté du Québec (SQ) says a 21-year-old has had their license suspended and has been fined over $2,000 after being caught going over 100 km/h over the speed limit.
SQ says the incident happened around 3 a.m. on July 28, when Laval highway patrol clocked a vehicle travelling 210 km/h along Highway 15 Northbound near Curé-Labelle, Laval — an area where the posted speed limit is 100 km/h.
As a result, the 21-year-old from Laval, who was driving, received a $2,068 ticket, 24 demerit points, and his license was suspended for seven days.
