Man arrested following police operation in Longueuil

A man was arrested following a police operation in Longueuil prompted by reported threats and concerns about a possibly armed individual at a grocery store. The operation has since ended.

Longueuil Police (SPAL) operation took place on Curé-Poirier Boulevard West, between Duvernay and Joliette streets.

At around 3:50 p.m., a man was apprehended and handcuffed by police. It remains unclear whether he was the individual allegedly seen entering the store with a weapon or whether he was linked to the reported threats.

The circumstances surrounding the incident and the exact nature of the threats remain unknown.
