Montreal police’s (SPVM) arson squad is investigating after a car was allegedly set on hearth in Montreal North early Saturday morning.
Police say they obtained a number of 911 calls round 4 a.m. reporting an SUV engulfed in flames whereas parked in a personal driveway on Rue des Récollets, close to Rue Prieur.
Firefighters rapidly introduced the blaze below management earlier than police arrived on the scene.
Based on SPVM, a number of suspects are believed to have deliberately set the car ablaze earlier than fleeing. Investigators later situated incendiary supplies on the scene.
No harm was reported to the encircling property, and no accidents had been reported.
