The Montreal Victoire didn’t waste any time in choosing a first-round playoff opponent after ending first general within the Skilled Girls’s Hockey League with a 2-1 shootout victory on Saturday over the host Seattle Torrent.
Given the selection between the fourth-place Ottawa Cost and the two-time Walter Cup defending champion Minnesota Frost, the Victoire chosen the third-place Frost for the best-of-five semifinal.
The Cost will play the Boston Fleet within the different semifinal.
Montreal (16-6-2-6) will start its sequence towards Minnesota (13-3-5-9), on Saturday, Might 2 (2 p.m. ET) at Place Bell.
This season, the Victoire gained all 4 video games of their head-to-head season sequence towards the Frost, together with two time beyond regulation victories. That is the third straight season the Victoire have certified for the playoffs and second straight season they completed in first and chosen the third-place workforce as their opponent.
