Another Quebecer is a million dollars richer after a Lotto 6/49 prize was claimed.
Loto-Québec says Patrice Touchette won $1 million from the July 22 Lotto 6/49 draw.
Touchette had reportedly gotten the winning ticket through a free play.
“When I saw $1,000,000 appear on the screen, I was convinced it was an ad!” he said, laughing, not realizing it was real until the clerk explained that they could not pay out the prize.
Touchette reportedly plans to invest his winnings into a retirement fund.
