Work was underway Thursday morning to restore a gaping hole in a bridge in Châteauguay, south of Montreal.
The massive gap shaped Wednesday in the midst of a lane of site visitors on the Sauvagine Bridge, which crosses the Châteauguay River, after a small part of the deck collapsed.
Initially totally closed to site visitors, the eastbound facet of the bridge has since reopened to vehicles stepping into each instructions.
