Road work to continue on Charles-De Gaulle Bridge

Transport Quebec says street work will proceed on Freeway 40 on the Charles-De Gaulle Bridge over the approaching weekend.

Officers say that one among three lanes in each instructions on Freeway 40 will likely be closed between Gouin Boulevard East in Montreal and Route 344 — Saint-Charles Highway — between 9:30 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 27, and 4 a.m. on Monday, Mar. 2.

Through the partial closure, some lanes could also be diminished to three.3 metres within the development zone, and the velocity restrict will likely be diminished to 50 km/h.

Motorists are being suggested to test Quebec 511 earlier than hitting the roads, as work could also be postponed, prolonged, or cancelled as a result of hostile climate situations.
