Thunderstorm likely in Montreal Wednesday, but sun returns Thursday

Montrealers had a wet start to their Wednesday, with storms expected to roll in by afternoon before clearing up in the evening.

Wednesday afternoon will bring an 80 per cent chance of thunderstorms, with temperatures rising to a comfortable 22 Celsius.

For the evening, the skies clear up with only a 30 per cent chance of light showers and temperatures settling around 21 C.

According to Environment and Climate Change Canada, the weather will improve Thursday, with a mix of sun and cloud and a high of 24 C.

Friday expected to be sunny, with temperatures reaching 25 C.

A gorgeous sunny day also forecast for Saturday, with a high of 27 C and a chance of showers in the evening.  

On Sunday, showers moving in again, with a high of 24 C. Showers continuing throughout the evening and a low of 15 C.

The long-term forecast for early next week –the last week of August– calls for a mix of rain and sun with temperatures hovering in the low 20s.
